Based in Edwardstown, GARON Plastics is a state-of-the-art injection moulding facility offering customers a complete product development and tooling service.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, our client is recruiting a Process Engineer to work on and manage our Business Management System (BMS), the Pronto Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and the Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
Other key accountabilities include:
- Optimising manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity and product quality.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Providing technical expertise and support to the process team and cross functional teams.
- Resource planning and scheduling for the plastic injection moulding machines.
Ideally the successful candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or a related field) and demonstrate proven experience within the plastics injection moulding industry, along with a strong knowledge of plastics injection moulding processes, equipment, and tooling. Candidates with similar skills from other manufacturing industries will also be considered.
Experience or the capabilities to manage and maintain the BMS, ERP, MES is essential, as is a thorough understanding of safety regulations, ISO9001 standards and process safety management principles.
You will also display strong leadership skills and the ability to effectively work with management teams and be proficient in process optimization techniques, statistical process control and project management including planning, execution, and resource management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills are vital as is having a continuous improvement mindset and a passion for driving operational excellence.
